MassTrails Awards MCRT $1.2 Million in 2026

Six communities along the Mass Central Rail Trail will receive grants from MassTrails for design and build out of vital connections along the MCRT. The towns of Belchertown, Berlin, Clinton, Hardwick, New Braintree and Northampton will receive a combined $1,272,760 in funding.

MCRT SudHud Celebratory Ride

Thursday July 16th

Parkinson’s Field Parking Lot, 40–46 Hudson Road, Sudbury

Kickstands up at 12:45 pm

Join us for a celebratory ride for the official opening and ribbon cutting of the MCRT Sudbury to Hudson section!

​Celebrate this exciting milestone with a guided community ride hosted by the MCRT Alliance. This will be an out-and-back ride with 2 options:

  • A 9-mile trek to a unique natural area in Sudbury, and

  • A longer 18-mile ride to downtown Hudson for ice cream.

The ride is free, but pre-registration is required. Register here.

Parking Note: No parking is available at the Sudbury Diamond. Additional parking can be found behind Sudbury Town Hall.

This special ride is presented in partnership with Mass DCR, MassTrails10, and the Mass Central Rail Trail Alliance.
