About MCRT Stow

Stow is still a relatively rural town, best known for its apple orchards, farms, golf and open spaces. The MCRT passes through just 300’ of Stow’s southern border, bordered by wetlands and by Ferjulian’s Farm in Hudson.

A short distance from the MCRT is the village of Gleasondale, which contains a mill that was developed in the 1800s along the Assabet River. This village, originally known as Rockbottom, contains many remnants of this mill history and a tight-knit village with many beautiful historic homes. While there are no commercial businesses or public restrooms in Gleasondale, a short ride will bring you to Honey Pot Hill Orchard, Lake Boon, and a gravel recreational trail which leads to the Assabet River Rail Trail and downtown Maynard.
